BEFORE THERE WAS LOUQSOR

For nearly two years, there was no collection to launch and no brand to build.

There was Shwaya Shwaya.

In Luxor, women gathered to learn, experiment and make things with their hands. We crocheted. We embroidered. We worked with beads, fabric and colour. We tried things that failed and things that surprised us.

Mostly, we played.

Slowly, through hundreds of experiments and thousands of hours together, a language of our own began to emerge.

Louqsor grew from that language.

It began with a mud house.

THREE YEARS OF PLAY

Nagha opened her home to us, and together we transformed it into a place where we could gather, learn, create and play with our children.

There was no brand. No collection. No business plan.

Just a space, a group of women and children, and the freedom to discover what we might create together.

This was the beginning.

THEN, SHWAYA SHWAYA GREW.

OUR FAMILY HAD FUN

What began inside Nagha’s mud house slowly became something much bigger.

More women came. More children came. We learned together, played together, made things, tried things, failed, laughed, and began again.

We called it Shwaya Shwaya — little by little.

Today, our Genius Factory brings together 40+ women and nearly 200 children, supported by the CÖR LUX Foundation.

And still, we play.

PEOPLE BEGAN TO NOTICE.

We started to believe.

Visitors started walking through our doors. They watched the women create, sat around our tables, asked questions and shared in what was happening.

And we began to understand that perhaps this little experiment was becoming something truly unique.

So we kept going.

Shwaya shwaya. Little by little.

We still didn't know we were building Louqsor.

THEN, WE OPENED OUR DOORS.

A FIRST BOUTIQUE

We transformed another mud house in our neighborhood into our first little boutique.

Travelers found us. They came in, tried on our pieces, met the women — and began carrying our creations home with them.

For the first time, we understood that what we were creating together could travel far beyond Luxor.

Our play was becoming something real.

But we weren't finished playing yet.

THEN, LOUQSOR APPEARED.

One day, something beautiful emerged.

Born from the hands of the women of Luxor.

Born from friendship, experimentation and play.

We called it Louqsor.

And now, the light travels.

THE WOMEN BEHIND THE LIGHT

Louqsor exists to create beauty. But beauty can also create possibility.

Through meaningful work, skills and shared creation, our ambition is to help build a path toward greater economic independence for the women with whom we work.

A woman earning her own income gains more than money. She gains choices. Confidence. A stronger voice in the decisions that shape her life and the lives of her children.

We cannot decide what emancipation looks like for another woman.

We can help create the conditions in which she has greater freedom to decide for herself.

At Louqsor, we already support the over 40 women towards a better future.

The story does not end with the women.

THE NEXT GENERATION

Around us is a community of nearly 200 children growing up alongside Shwaya Shwaya.

They come to learn languages, make art, play football, create, explore and discover a world larger than the one they may have imagined for themselves.

Because lasting change rarely belongs to one generation.

When a mother has greater opportunity and a child grows up surrounded by learning, creativity and possibility, something begins to shift.

Shwaya Shwaya.
